Contest Formats Explained | fantasycricplay

Contest Pricing & Participation

The fantasycricplay Fantasy Cricket platform offers two engaging contest types for its users: (1) Public Contests—open for participation to all users without restrictions, and (2) Private Contests—exclusive games where users can invite friends or select participants. All general contest rules apply equally to both formats.

Public Contests

In this open format, fantasycricplay hosts contests with varied participant capacities, such as 2, 3, 5, 10, or even 100-player formats. These contests may be free or paid. Entry fees for paid contests start as low as ₹1 and can go up to ₹1000, depending on the contest.

Each contest will begin only when the required number of participants is met. If that number isn’t reached before the match deadline, the contest will be canceled automatically and the entry fee will be fully refunded without any deductions.

Some contests, marked as "Confirmed Contests", will proceed even if all spots aren’t filled, as long as the required number of winners has joined. Players may continue to join until either all slots are full or the match begins—whichever comes first.

If the contest remains inactive when the match kicks off, the entry fee will be refunded to all participants in full, with zero charges.

Private Contests

fantasycricplay allows users to create their own personalized contests—known as Private Contests—where participants can invite specific friends or fellow sports fans. Users can create contests with 2, 3, 5, or 10 players. The contest creator selects the number of participants, pays the entry fee, sets a contest name, and receives a unique Contest Code.

This Contest Code is shared with invited users, allowing them to register or log in and enter the contest. The details (like name or entry size) cannot be changed once the contest is created—except for renaming it.

To join, invited users enter the Contest Code and pay the entry fee. Once the predefined number of participants is reached, the contest becomes active. No other users will be able to enter afterward. If the participant limit isn’t met one hour before match start time, participants may opt to convert the contest into a public one, making it accessible to all users.

Please note: The conversion process is handled automatically by the system and fantasycricplay cannot guarantee that a Private Contest will become Public or that new users will join in time. If the required number of users still isn’t reached, the contest will not proceed, and all entry fees will be returned—no deductions applied.

Entry into a Private Contest is strictly based on the participant limit set by the contest creator. fantasycricplay is not responsible for any invited participant’s inability to join due to device issues, internet connectivity, or eligibility criteria.
